PCR

Person Centred Reviews (PCR's) are annual individual meetings organised by the school, during which you, as the parent, get an overview of how your child has been developing throughout the school year as well as an opportunity to speak with the class teacher about any queries you may have pertaining to your child and the school.

PCR meetings are also directly linked in to the process of converting SEN statements in to EHCP's. In September 2014 the Children and Families Act was implemented which changed the way that children and young people with complex special educational needs and disabilities are assessed. Statements of special educational needs (The term 'special educational needs' has a legal definition, referring to children who have learning difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn than most children of the same age. Many children will have special needs of some kind at some time during their education.

(SEN) were replaced as part of these reforms by Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans.
